    This.

He's consistently shown throughout his career that he scores goals. That to me, is a massive plus point which should be taking into consideration.

With forwards, form is everything. Over the last 5 seasons, Rhodes stats are fantastic, he has shown he's a natural goalscorer and I'm a firm believer in a natural goalscorer will score at any level, in any team.

Agree though mate, it would be a massive risk but we are still bottom and we don't really have much to lose. If it doesn't work, all our other forwards will probably still be here and if we go down, we take a proven goalscorer in the championship to play alongside our other goal machine in the championship, Wickham.

Nah, you haven't convinced me like. I'd feel a real unease if we did. If we stay up there's a few championship strikers I like to take a look at but not now. The quality of opposition he's been scoring against is dwarfed by the standard of defending in the premiership imo especially with the fee being mentioned for that Rhodes lad.

Totally agree about continuing form. This lad did it in the 3rd tier and everyone said he needs to step up. He then did it even better in the Championship and yet he is still challenged. For me he is the finished article unlike Wickham who was totally raw when he came here and has never had a prolific record at any level. He is a veteran of some 215 games and scored a prolific amount of goals in that time too.

Its all about opinions but for me I'd bust the bank for a lad who must be busting a gut to be an EPL footballer. We certainly wont be spending any moiney if we are relegated thats for sure but could save £100m by stopping up. If he came and struggled then he could adapt back in the championship but if he came and scored goals he would increase in value and keep us up. We cant lose.

As said by a lot, you can't teach all of that, it's the instinct within. let's face it, at the moment regardless of his fantastic record lower down, if we could have a striker who'd be guaranteed to bang in 10 a season it'll be an improvement on what we've got, let's shoot for it

The only problem is the supply, how many chances did Fletcher have the other night to use his instinct??

I would love Rhodes, but unless we can give him the ball in the right positions he wont do us any good.

A lot Saud that about Altidore as he got nearly a goal a game in Holland last season! Big step up and he looks a great finisher and I'vesaid he'd not he a bad player to have at the club

Exactly, we need someone who can fashion his own chances not just Finnish them. I'd be petrified if our survival rested on this lad getting the goals. Probably why he isn't being linked by any credible media sources. I'd be very surprised there turned out to be genuine interest.
