Very good young player, scored some blinders last season including a goal against Chelscum. Defi right sort

Him, Caulker, the striker who went to Palace, Medel who was outstanding in Brazil, the goalie who was supposed to be brilliant all last year - how did Cardiff get themselves relegated?

Owner interference in my view. Destabilising the incumbent manager; and in doing so, creating an unsettled atmosphere that was too prevalent, in spite of some talented individuals.

Though I notice Malky Mackay is still unemployed, and in my view OGS should be.

Because only 1 of those players had a really good season - Marshall.

Caulker was ok but not the finished article and made plenty of mistakes.

Medel again ok but was playing midfield not centre back.

Jordan Mutch has fitness issues and has a tendency to go missing.

Campbell the striker has a poor 1st touch and is not a great finisher.

Jordan Mutch is a talent and if he stays fit could break into the England squad. Would be a great signing (far better than Caulker). Hope this isnt true as would put a dent in our promotion chances. However he was injured for large parts of the season when we won the league.

Hes worth double that but in last year of his contract. Bid £5m i reckon we sell.

Thanks for that Hilts24, didn't realise he was in his last year. It horrible when you get relegated and the vultures start circling and pick off your best players isn't it?
Having said that, when we went down I'd quite happily have got rid of the whole squad bar one or two!

Difference with our squad when it went down was no PL side would touch our players with a bargepole!...

Cardiff City are bracing themselves for a £5m bid from Premier League QPR for star midfielder Jordon Mutch, according to reports.

The promoted West London outfit are looking to add Mutch, who scored seven Premier League goals last season, to their squad and link him up with former Bluebirds captain Steven Caulker.

Rs manager Harry Redknapp is willing to come up with £5m to land the 22-year-old, beating off the interest of Sunderland, in the process.

Bluebirds boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer does not want to sell Mutch but, as the former Birmingham City man only has one year left on his contract, would be unlikely to risk him leaving for free next summer.

As well as linking back up with England defender Caulker, a move to Loftus Road would see Mutch join a squad including Chilean World Cup star Mauricio Isla, who is due to join from Juventus, and striker Loic Remy, whose proposed move to Liverpool fell down last weekend.
