From what I'm hearing, Botaka could be one of two wingers who joins before Tuesday's deadline. The other is based in England
Transfer news - Leeds have tonight agreed a deal for Excelsior winger Jordan Botaka
Got wind of this as we were driving home. Deal needs to be finalised but Botaka has been offered a two-year deal with option of third.
Botaka is 22, originally from Zaire and was at Brugge before moving to Excelsior. Leeds ruled out Limbombe - too expensive at £2.5m. (made bold by me, btw)
Botaka fee is going to be £1m to £1.5m, something like that.

Gaffer says Rajiv van la Parra is in talks with a couple of potential clubs but nothing is definite at the present time.
Van La Parra - I've done some asking around and Leeds don't have a deal with Wolves, despite plenty of talks. Not convinced that'll happen.
There was a bit more chat about Will Buckley earlier this week but that's gone cold again
Another development - Paul Hart is to return to Leeds United as academy director. Not confirmed yet but I'm told it's happening.
Cellino and Hart have spoken and are both happy. Pearson's influence in this will have been huge.

I don't know anything about either Botaka or Van La Parra. Anyone could shed some light on their ability or are they just as blind as me? We need some pace so hopefully at least one of em has it. In an ideal world we would bring in two more wingers (and a centre back but thats another issue) so we have some options.
Great news re Paul Hart I am so pleased for him things will only get better as for the young Botaka he plays as a LW this will let Dallas operate on the right where I think he his much more effective.Botaka 's nickname is the wizard and if he is half as good as the previous person nicknamed that Stan Mathews he will do for me .He is very fast and again very young ticks the boxes again and yet another 6 footer

Right watched a clip on this young man very fast two footed although he favours his right will be a great addition in my humble opinion what a turn round this season so pleased I backed them at 33-1He is another 6 footer but can he head a ball NOI don't think so

Morning all. If this new chap is a pacy winger, it will help to cement the way Rosler wants to play. Hope we get another winger. Will provide a bit of competition for Dallas, as I can't imagine us playing two wingers from the start. All looking good for the rest of the season... if it comes off and he settles in.
Don't know much about this guy other than his stats aren't as good as that Limbombe and he is another right footer (to join Dallas and Byram)
Limbombe is a left footer (i believe, could be wrong).... seems like Cellino has gone for the cheaper option again. Frustrating considering the whole guff coming out of the club that we go for 'the right player' now and not 'the right price tag'... Hopefully Botaka wont just be signed and left on the bench like Erwin (well, unless he IS poor).
If we were to get both him and Limbombe and push Byram back to full back now that could be dynamite!

I know what you mean by cheaper option but at some point you need to say a player isn't worth the money they are asking. We don't know as we've never seen either player but if the club doesn't feel Limbombe is worth the 2.5m they are demanding then thats fair enough. Its a fair chunk of money.
totally agree with what you say as for Erwin I think the lad will come good he has my stamp of approval so the anti christs please make a note
