    I widny call a sportsman a hero no matter how great their achievement.

    But a few great Scottish sportsmen spring to mind.

    For starters: Jim Clarke, Jacky Stewart, Jim Watt - all excelled in their fields.

    I was gonny mention a couple of Scottish footballers but the thought, nah, whit the **** am I doing.

    Aye, because he's a genuine athlete with talent who had to put in thousands of hours of practice and training. He literally trained until he puked then got back on the practice bike.
