I really would like this signing. With Vardys energy, marshalls service and unlike other big men jones does actually win headers we would always be a threat!

 

I'd take him in a heartbeat- two of my roommates support Stoke and still rate him. However, at the risk of playing an old tune, if we want to go down that road then Heskey instead???

 

one of those strikers who, even if not playing great, will still score.

I think much relies on Beckford leaving if we are signing another striker

But what was the point of signing Futacs if Nigel wanted another target man?

 

A stoke supporting friend is gutted they're overlooking him. He's a real fans favourite.

 

Jones is better than Futacs by a long shot. It wasnt long ago he was terrising all premiership defences. Great players who can work his feet a bit as well.

I know that but Futacs isnt in the team. Maybe Nigel feels we dont have enough threat in the air up top so he wants to bring in a big man who knows where the goal is. I cant see Jones coming in personally but you never know

 

There is types of players etc... but at the end of the day, a better player is more useful than someone who is not as good. Imagine him being fed by marshall and vardy playing off him. Would be class. Im almost semi-ed just thinking about it!!

 

I cant see a striker coming in until Beckford has gone, especially someone like Jones who wages wont be cheap

^ it is, but ive worked out that transfer fees arent too important, its all about wages.

 

Plus the loan fee which probably will be 500k if Beckford is worth 1M.

 

Simple, Charge Huddersfield 1.5M for the loan. And in January if they want to sign Beckford they can have him for nothing
