Further to this the fans will turn on Bruce when our previous form returns.

I can see things coming a mile away

Fair enough perhaps I'm misunderstanding people somewhat.

Schars a much better cb than those two, but they'll do a job, however with kraft playing it will compound the lack of mobility in our defense.. None of them can play the ball fwd either.

The thing is every cog has to fit in order to keep playing the way we've been able to.

I'm just going to leave this here

It obvious to me as I was when I tried explaining that Jones was a good move that in wasting my time on this too.

Let's once again just wait and see

We can always play Carroll at centre back. Good header. Good passer. Probably better than lacelles

He'll have some influence but no where near as much as some fans want to believe. He's only been there 5mins and football just doesn't work like that. Its a positive to have him on board. I mean the transformation actually began before his arrival too didn't it? Was he even at the Leeds game in the technical area?

I can't see what the problem is, he seems to have fitted in, seems to be offering good support to Bruce and the players. I don't know why some fans can't just be happy with that and have to look for angle to grind their axe. I spoke to a mate who is like this yesterday. He moaned on and on about Bruce, saying Jones has clearly been brought in to replace him and is now managing the team. He then slaughtered Bruce for our defending as it was terrible (it was first half) and said we would be getting relegated. Firstly I pointed out he seemed to be picking out bad things to hit Bruce with, anything good is either luck or down to someone else. I don't rate Bruce but you've got to be at least objective about it. What does it matter, the last 3.5 games have been the best to watch for 7 years, surely thats the most important thing, enjoyment?

    Agree here.

Jones is the biggest Jan signing for years. A much needed injection of competence into our coaching set up.

The problem is that the fans want bruce out even if we're playing well. It's silly!

I wanted him gone, but while we're doing well I'm happy to just say maybe I'm wrong and fair play to him and sadly the majority are more concerned with winning a petty argument with Luke Edwards etc than they're about nufc winning.

I'm still in extreme doubt that Bruce is picking the system and formation.

Its just such an instantaneous change to a system he's never used in his life.

If he keeps us up, fair enough. But I want a change at the end of the season, this is a temp fix.

Lacelles is an injury we've benefited from, but sadly what would've seen a month of improvement without him is going to see him get straight back into the side.

Bottom line is Jones tried 4312 at Luton and we’ve switched to that - a move praised by Hayden with a less than subtle dig at Bruce.

Jones isn’t an awesome appointment, he’s low cost, low risk and it’s paid off. As pouchy says it’s going well, football is at its best since Cabaye was here so just enjoy it and park the Bruce is an abomination narrative. He is, but he isn’t going to be upgraded under Ashley so let’s enjoy the odd 90 mins here and there whilst this insufferable takeover wait drags on.

The players like Bruce and now they've got a modern day coach, so nufc have got the perfect set up without paying for a manager that had both strings to his bow.

Nufc have done something well... The best thing they've done for 14 years..

If we stay up (which I think we will) and the takeover happens (I’m on the fence) then is it harsh for SB to then get the sack?

Or does he maintain a role on the coaching staff?
