We’ll miss Manq and Wilson for sure, hopefully the latter is only for a couple of games. As for schar, I’m not that arsed tbh. He gives far too many stupid fouls away for me and he invariably loses his man more often than not at set pieces. Dummet is a much better CB than he is a LB so he can play there. Feddy probably isn’t too far away from being back. None of our CB’s fill me with a vast amount of confidence, they are all guilty (regularly) of the same **** i posted above about schar. Playing Hayden there isn’t the answer either as he’s a ****ing cart horse at the best of times and prone to giving stupid ****ing fouls away as well. He was great in MF against Everton so if he has to play for ****s sake put him there where his stupid fouls do less damage than they did yesterday (Ward-Prowse) free kick.

The injuries might be a blessing in disguise apart from Wilson.

We won’t miss Hendrick at all. Longstaff can slot in.

Fernandez should be back and he’s as good as any we have. Plus Lascelles should be back. So losing Schar isn’t a problem.

Right Back is an issue however krafth did ok defending and as someone else pointed out he just needs to do that.

Wilson is the problem. Joe is crap. Carrol not good enough either but Gayle might do the job. Or we just let Anderson have some game time for experience.

Manquillo and Schar have been mainstays lately. And we’re knackered up front if Wilson out for any length of time.
Krafth, Hayden, Clark and Dummett is a decent back line for now.

Wilson is a key player. But manq and Schar are replaceable.

I guess the question should be how comes our players where falling to bits so easily?

Manq has only played the last two games I think. And Schar gives away far to many free kicks.

It's not a traditional formation; if Jones has a bit input into Joelinton, can he do a job with Max? Could we bring Fraser or Gayle in? Both are fast enough.

Krafth is just bang average, but he can do a job. Schar isn't first choice and I'm ok with Lascelles or Fede alongside Clark or Dummett. It's not doom and gloom by any stretch. And it's not a Bruce issue - look at Liverpool's injury list.

I'd be more concerned if Bruce was still coaching the players picking the team and tactics. He's not.

We will be fine based on that alone.

Yep. Turns out 4-3-1-2 was what Jones wanted to implement at Luton but just had Luton-standard players which wouldn't work. It's about two attackers being flexible and comfortable running the channels; Max left and Wilson right did that. Hence why Fraser can come in, because it's not a CF role, it's a right forward to compliment Max, with Almiron/Willock supporting and one staying CM, one DM to ensure the middle is protected.

It's a decent formation. We have the players to pull it off as well. You can see why the club thought it worth bringing him in.

Schar and Manquillo are essential.. They have pace and look to get fwd.. The sides only just started functioning and without 3 of the 11 it's back to square 1

We will get hammered every week without manq schar and Wilson

That's my view and I'll be right as usual unfortunately

100%. Willock looks some player in midfield too. Got into all the right areas when charging forward. Our attacking play has improved significantly.

Who would have thought that Almiron playing as a number ten would make him look like the player that Benitez signed? Very strange.

    Schar
    Manquillo
    Wilson

    Vs

    Lacelles
    Krafth
    Joelinton or gayle

I mean ffs lads you're living with your heads up your arse of you don't think that's a serious downgrade.. Its not as if we're comfortable even with our best 11 on the pitch..

Add shelvey to that shower of **** and almost 50 % of your side isn't capable

Even Roly is more positive than you at the moment.

Wilson. Big loss with no one to directly replace him. We adjust instead. I would opt for Gayle as he, at least, can score. Anyway looks like just for a few weeks which includes two games where we, as fans, weren’t expecting anything.

Schar. A loss but not irreplaceable. Dummett can do a job plus Ferd is due back soon. As a defender I actually prefer Ferd.

Man Q. A loss but we have a right back maybe not as good but we aren’t playing people out of position.

Take a chill pill and enjoy the win. Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow.

It's nothing to do with positivity I'm afraid it's just an honest and correct assessment.

What? We’ve lost 3 of our first team and have to bring in alternatives so we won’t be as good?

Should change your username from Captain Wrong to Captain Obvious.

Eh? Nobody disagrees that we're worse off. We just don't think it'll mean the end of the world as we know it. In fact, I don't think we'll get zero points from the next two for some inexplicable reason.

It'll be Fernandes and Clark. Dummett can also play CB, LB or RB.

Gayle all day. Not as good, but better than what we have. Plus, it was Almiron who scored teo of our goals yesterday, rather than a striker.
