Swansea have been linked with making a move for Soriano in the Evening Post today....

He would seem to be a shrude signing, with 32 goals in 36 appearances for Barcelona B in the Spanish equivalent to the Championship. He would be relatively low in cost, both signing fee and wages it would seem. Little risk, with the possibility of big reward if he were to reproduce that form in the Premiership.

Spanish B sides are known to produce good players, such as Jordi Gomez. What would your views be on his signing?

Think he would be an awesome signing. I hadn't heard of him until someone said something about him on here so may need to question where the post has got it's info from lol

The post love to make things up. we know nothing of this guy. but if he's good enough lets have him. mind you the other 2 spanish strikers we tried didnt exactly hit it off.

Looks a VERY good finisher - like Borini, a natural goal scorer with superb positional sense.

He is a two footed player (I like them) basically preferring his right foot but confident enough to use his left when he needs to. Look at the goal where he was forced out wide then slotted it across the keeper with his left foot. A right footed player might have missed that in taking the extra time to bring the ball onto his right foot. We've seen that often enough. Also scores a few with his head I see.

To be honest he looks good enough to play for a higher profile team than us but perhaps Barca, if they were made aware of the way we like to play the game, just might consider a loan period to extend his experience by playing in the Premiership.

Would be an awesome signing, however he's being linked with moves to Roma (following Luis Enrique) and Udinese (bait for Alexis Sanchez to go to Barca). Fingers crossed though!

I've seen enough video footage of the lad, to know that if Rodgers was to get him, he would be immense in our setup! Fingers crossed.....................

Ash, £2.5 million? If that is correct, providing his wages are affordable, we could compete for his signature at that price. Perhaps the allure of the Premiership might swing it for us.

He certainly looks a talent and I reckon he and Graham up front would frighten many defences - even in the Premiership.

Agree Ivor, hows he doing his negotiation on top of Kilimanjaro though??
