Let's not pull the wool over our own eyes, Greening would have been a welcome signing (as would Danns) but we were restricted by the very man's wages we hope will stay on now and help us up the league..
Definitely should be jealous! Good player, keeps things simple, rarely gives the ball away and has a decent passing range. That said if we keep Bullard and he stays fit and plays like everyone knows he can then we have the best midfielder in this league but beyond that we don't have much depth with Koren being preferred out wide even though he's far more influential in a central role where he sees more of the ball.
I expect that if City managed to shift Bullard in full then both Greening and Danns would be at the club now. But qwe have Bullard and as he showed @ Ipswich he is by far the BEST midfielder in the championship when on song. KEEP JB FIT and HAPPY and it wont be long before City fans say....Greening and Danns WHO ?
Notice that Watford have replaced Danny Graham with Chris Iwelumo from Burnley. Should the Tigers be jealous ? NOPE.
McClaren @ Notts Forest has lost out on signing Dutch winger Wesley Verhoek(24) from Den Haag. T/Fee problems. Looks now like he will go to Rangers or stay in Holland. Shame as he was one of McClarens top transfer targets. Oh well Steve, at least you have Greening in your squad.
hopefully it will be raining when Forest come to City, we win 3-2 and they miss out on the play-offs.. then we can all laugh at him standing forlornly under his brolly...
Great signing for Shteve and Boro, he's a better player than McKenna and they've just got Moussi to sign a new deal. So their CM will be decent. As for being jealous? I'm not interested in looking at other teams' players and wishing we had them as you could do that all day (Danns...) Bullard is a far better player than McKenna (I definately meant to say Greening) and Danns when he's on song but we haven't seen that in a Hull City shirt for a long time so we'll have to wait on that one. I'm starting to hope Bullard doesn't leave now, which i never thought i'd say!
Please say you meant to say Greening We definitely shouldn't be looking to compare squads though - usually squad strength at this stage of the season has little bearing on the final table. That should stand Leicester in good stead to finish mid-table
Eh? Is Schtevie van der McClaren back at Middlesbrough? I thought he was manager of Forest? Even Wiki agrees he is! "Stephen "Steve" McClaren (born 3 May 1961) is an English football manager and former player. He currently is the manager of Nottingham Forest"
