Jonas, an intelligent mature footballer, one of the lynch pins of the team, who sometimes thinks faster than his feet can react... a class act but we dont see enough of what he can really do. Yeah his crosses sometimes fall short of perfect, but his speed and awareness make up for it. One hundred percent present at every match he plays, totally focused, this is a guy we want on our pitch. (and is also very pretty)

Ah the three amigos, shame we couldn't retain Jose. Imagine him and Santon full backs, dreamy. Jonas is top class for me and in view of his protection of Raylor, is 4th on my player of the seasons list so far. Ahead of him are Colo, Saylor and Krul. (The triangle of giveyoufuckall) Then come Jonas and Cabaye for me. Jonas is selfless and has started to add some end product now. He has reacted well to the competition from Marveaux who looks really handy. I like the bloke and have done since day 1. Like Colo, there is no moaning and they have knuckled down to really settle down here. And he seems a cheeky chappy for morale to boot.

 

Big fan of Jonas, great player and he never gives up. Maybe he could improve his waving a little bit though.

Messi and Maradona might be among the best ever players but they still didn't put the same kind of shift in that Jonas does.

Is that actually true? I think Colo fell out of favour with the national team around the time Jonas fell in, I'm not convinced they've played many together at international level.

 

Heard Jonas say he has faced him a lot in Spain so probably spoke a bit when they faced eachother. Don't know about their internationals together though

 

I made the right call wearing my Jonas shirt on Saturday then - didn't seem the case when he missed an easier chance early on and got a fair bit of stick!

 

I have stopped putting names on my top. Got Stevie Taylor on and he got sent off vs Birmingham in that cup game years ago, got Beye on and he got sent of vs Man City, got Tiote on and he got sent off vs Stevenage. Don't wanna curse us anymore

 

At least the players you get don't leave for the most part - that's what happens to me.

 

I also got Enrique last season lol, this season not got anybody as yet - was thinking Cabaye but would miss him if he left or got sent off haha

 

A bloke I saw at Villa had a picture of Kermit the Frog with 'frog on the tyne' written on it. Think he has the right idea.
