He played like a man possessed. If was like all his best bits from the previous 6 seasons all rolled into one match. Tackling, tracking, dribbling, crossing, shooting - with an end product.
He has always been a grafter but his end product has been frustratingly poor in the past. And I genuinely thought his legs had gone 2 seasons ago. But bugger me he did the business on Sunday.
Exactly what we were missing all season - someone to step forward put their body on the line and lead by example. Just when we needed it most Jonas gave the performance of his life.
I don't know what the future holds for him but he is a hero in my book. If he gets a new contract he will be great for the dressing room regardless of how much he plays. Likewise if that really was his last game for us then I wish him all the best.
Having come through what he has over the last 2 years he deserves huge credit to have played in the top flight again, let alone to have saved us from relegation.
