Just shows you the huge role passion for the club plays in overall performance . He has more passion about NUFC in his little finger than some of the other players had this season in total . Well Done Jonas

That was a big performance from him. He literally dragged us over the line with his contribution. The cross and goal were of course massive, but the bloke flogged himself for the cause.

He played like a man possessed. If was like all his best bits from the previous 6 seasons all rolled into one match. Tackling, tracking, dribbling, crossing, shooting - with an end product.

He has always been a grafter but his end product has been frustratingly poor in the past. And I genuinely thought his legs had gone 2 seasons ago. But bugger me he did the business on Sunday.

Exactly what we were missing all season - someone to step forward put their body on the line and lead by example. Just when we needed it most Jonas gave the performance of his life.

I don't know what the future holds for him but he is a hero in my book. If he gets a new contract he will be great for the dressing room regardless of how much he plays. Likewise if that really was his last game for us then I wish him all the best.

Having come through what he has over the last 2 years he deserves huge credit to have played in the top flight again, let alone to have saved us from relegation.

THANK YOU JONAS AND GOOD LUCK WHATEVER YOU DO NEXT.

    Love the bloke to bits.
He's one of those special players that will always have a place in a black and white heart.
Very few players can call themselves an honorary Geordie.
    Jonas can.
