Btw, I wouldn't have replied in that way to Tash if there wasn't a reason. The whole POINT of this thread is talking about Jonas getting forward more, and me asking why he's doing it (i.e. forming better partnership with Santon, or Pardew telling him to do it) and Tash replies with "it's because he's getting forward more".

Now that everyones managed to get the sand out of their vaginas lets get back on topic...

Gutierrez is getting forward more I think its because Santon is playing. Thoughts?

I think Pardew has picked him up on it and told him to start going forward. Santon has played a few times but there was a very sudden difference between the Blackburn game and pretty much every other game this season. Jonas' whole gameplan looked totally different.

 

I still reckon against tougher opposition for the majority we'll see Gutierrez getting back and overlapping Santon in the LB position, but against the teams around and below us its going to help us massively when it comes to attacking, I really like the look of Santon I just wish he was left footed, he doesn't quite look as awesome yet as Enrique did defensively but going forward he looks just as dangerous, we're definitely starting to see why hes rated so highly though.

If Jonas can get forward and Ben Arfa stays on the right wing we could be very dangerous especially when Demba gets back. I'm just worried about how exposed we could be down that right hand side. Simpson isnt the best and Ben Arfa doesn't strike me as someone who wants to get back and help out, hes french.

 

As they say, attack is the best form of defence. If we keep the ball and keep getting forward all of the time, we won't need to worry about who is helping out the fullbacks all of the time

 

I think Jonas gets forward more because Santon looks like he is always wearing eyeliner, or "guyliner", therefore must be a homosexual and jonas is scared of being bummed.
