Jonas' New Contract Poll

Jonas' Contract

  1. Excellent move by the club, getting our best players nailed down

  2. Good news, but we have bigger contract priorities

  3. Just done by Ashley to get more when he is sold

  4. Not good, he's paid to much and doesn't produce often enough.

    Considering Jonas was offered 4, I'd probably guess 3 or if it's left late perhaps 2. Would like him here as long as possible though.

    How long do you think Colo could be a starter for? I think he would still be roughly this standard in 3 seasons before he started to decline.

    I don't see why he couldn't be a starter into his mid 30s really. He doesn't rely too heavily on any aspects that youth has the advantage over, and if he keeps himself fit (and if we don't end up signing somebody even better obviously) I could see this partnership he has with Taylor lasting a long time.

    <ok>

    with regards to Colo, surely a contract with large appearance bonuses would be the best move, and we could afford the risk of a longer contract. If his performance levels drop, and his spot in the first team is claimed by someone else, he'll not be picking up Smith-like wage to not make the bench. Having said that, with Colo's style of play, i can see him still being a regular for the next 3-4 years easily

    only asked as it's been said in the past about following the arsenal role model,if that was the case we'd offer him a one year extension as when his contract is up he'll be 31

    Colloccini is an intelligent player. As he gets older and slower he will adapt his game.
