Keep unless we get a ridiculous offer of £15m+ (which we won't).

Squad harmony aside, he's one of our few genuinely threatening players, can really unsettle the opposition and gets into good positions.

Yes he's got his weaknesses but he is one of our better players. We don't NEED the money so why sell?

HOW COULD YOU EVEN THINK OF SELLING JONAS?

One of the stalwarts who stayed with us and brought us back up when we went down.

Also it's illogical to sell him. Even if he isn't in the starting 11, he knows that he's good enough to get back into it and be our best player on his day. We all know that he plays better with competition for places as well (though he shouldn't)

In short, we'd be hard-pressed to find a better squad player for 8 million (Hatem would replace him on the left) and it would show a lack of loyalty to the players who actually love Newcastle, unless he wanted to leave.

Keep him! We're trying to build a squad, you don't do that by selling your best players and like it or not he is one of our best players. Yes Ben Arfa can come back and play on the left, then you play Jonas on the right and get Joey back to his more favoured central position. Joey has done well on the right but only because he's THAT good but he's not an out and out winger.

If we manage to get this French guy (Marvelous or something) then i wouldn'y be too unhappy to see him leave. But i would much rather we kept him, unless we manage to get double figures for him...

Why in the name of god would we wnat to sell him. He a genuinely good premier league player. Always fit to play and works his bollocks off, throws in as many decent balls as Milner and N'Zogbia ever did and costs half as much. We don't even know if Ben Arfa will be any good, and Ferguson is no where near ready.

Why don't we get rid of some players who aren't really much use to us (RTaylor, Lov'krands, Sol and Xisco) and sign some others (preferably who are fit) to help the ones like Jonas who we need to keep.

This. He is invaluable to our squad for the relief his brings to our defensive line -- if we're under pressure, feed Jonas the ball, he runs away with it taking two or three players with him, and then gets tackled *just* outside their 18 yard box (maybe winning a free-kick)... And in that time we're re-organised the line.

Definite keep for me
