Yeah and actually if you believe everything said, its the other way round. All his "bad" stuff is on the pitch playing football. He's a quiet happily married man who adores his family and spends his time at home rather than whoring it with any old tart. So that WUM should really read:

    "Terrible Footballer, lovely person"

Christ! I'm having to write their WUM's for them now.....

Fair enough. I personally didn't pick up on him kissing his hand every week myself, and I watch a fair bit of football. Though ye you would have though a commentator would have picked up on it, but maybe he hadnt.

Oh, give over. It's football, for Christ's sake. Whether we like it or not these things go on in the game and to call a man a " terrible person" because of what he does on the pitch when you know nothing else about him is plain bloody stupid.
The moral outrage on here is laughable.

<laugh> Funny when the main moral outrage is about the commentator. Hypocrites.

Perhaps he's to paranoid to go out in public. I bet every time he sees a black man he's saying to himself 'please don't be from ghana'. There are so many of them living here that it must be the equivalent to Henry going on a night out in Dublin:biggrin:

Champion is paid to commentate not to make moral judgement's or shove his own personal dislike of a player down the throats of millions of viewers.

There have been many cheats in the game over the years, when did you last hear a commentator call them one?

It's open season on Suarez and Champion just jumped on the bandwagon.

Santi Cazorla vs WBA. No outrage here though. Cazorla cheated, and got called a cheat.

I think you've missed the point entirely here. The criticism is simply of his lack of professional impartiality in allowing his own prejudices to spill over. He is the one who was "outraged" by the incident.
Face it, Suarez has become the pantomime villain of the Premier League and LFC fans are now just happy to laugh at how his every move provokes bouts of frothing-at-the-mouth fury by those who just don't seem to be able to survive without someone to hate.

  12. This has been the bit that's annoyed me most since the game. The number of people I know locally that have mentioned this in a negative insulting manner is unreal. Facebook and twitter was absolutely plastered with comments regarding this as soon as it happened too <grr>

  13. Where was this reaction when Phil Neville save Lucas' shot on the line in the merseyside derby a fews years back?

Whining to a TV company because of a commentators comment. "Fuming of Milton Keynes" gets his way. LOL, another great victory in the fight for Justice for the poor persecuted Uruguayan.
