The title of the most expensive poop in history belongs to a remarkable 1,200-year-old Viking coprolite. Discovered in York, England, in 1972 during construction
activities, this specimen measures 8 inches long and 2 inches wide, making it the largest fossilized human excrement ever found. This feces, known as the Lloyds Bank Coprolite after a nearby bank, is valued at an astonishing $39,000. It is believed to have belonged to a 9th-century Viking plagued by intestinal parasites, providing valuable insights into Viking diet and health. Today, it is proudly displayed at the JORVIK Viking Center.
