DONALD OUT: A statement from A Love Supreme, Red and White Army, Roker Report and Wise Men Say You said you’d sell Sunderland AFC when you’d outstayed your welcome. That time is now. #DonaldOut By Roker Report Dec 27, 2019, 8:30pm GMT The statement reads: “For those at the Bolton match, you’ve earned some stripes. You were there when the club reached the lowest point in its entire history and it felt like it. A few fine saves from McLaughlin stopped us from losing at home to the bottom club in League One. As the chants for Super Kev reverberated around the stadium it became clear that the fans do not agree with the chosen appointment of Phil Parkinson. When he took a defender off for another defender the venom was too much for many to conceal. We were playing out for a clean sheet against a team that were nearly out of business less than 6 months ago. SAFC is a club with a proud history that deserves so much better than what we are currently being offered. As it stands we don’t know who is running the organisation within the club. We don’t expect to be playing in the Champions League, but we don’t expect to be set up defensively to the bottom club in League One at home on what is traditionally the biggest game of the season in terms of attendance. Nobody knows what the long term plan is and any trust that fans had in the boardroom has eroded. These are the fans who set attendance records for the division. The fans who have endured years of ineffective leadership within the club. Yet here we are. The ones hurting the most as a result of our current situation. Stewart Donald must act now. “Things can only get better” has been a defiant chant in recent times but the sentiment is a flawed one. Things can get worse…and it continues to get worse. If there is a realistic offer on the table he must admit that the enormity of the task at hand and cut his losses. For our club to move forward now change needs to happen on the pitch, in the dugout and in the boardroom.”
Fair play to them and he can't deny he said that, it was one of, if not the first podcast they did. The bloke needs to man up and sack PP or do what the statement says and admit the job is too big for him and sell up.
Been a long time coming, the downwards spiral needs halting and fast ! he now knows he needs to step up or sell up... who to I have no idea!

Just that they'd invested a lot if time and money on fees for various things. But not a lot of money for them, so they were playing the long game to gain control. Or something like that. I think he'd explain it better @Smug in Boots
There is a 10m loans that says he can sell I reckon. Do you think the yanks felt sorry for us and gifted us 10m? A common expression around is 'quid pro quo'. The 10m is for something. It is a loan. It is investment. If it cant be paid back at the required rate of return they send the bailiffs in. Football is regarded as a growing business. Amazon have now moved in. That should make everyone take notice. A club with all the history, infrastructure etc that we have is prime for plucking. The only reason we didnt get properly taken over was donald and stumbling blocks he imposed. Some people talk as if we were a bolton or a bury ..ie a basket case. We are not. Fan wise we are bigger than burnley, brighton, bournemouth and many others in the premier league and with better grounds and training facilities. We can only hope ( forlorn maybe ) that donald has some self respect and falls on his sword
someone out there for god's sake come and buy the club and turn us around, what the hell is going on ?.
This club cannot be allowed to fall any further, I don't think its too dramatic to state that the very existence of this once great club would be at risk if this slide continues...
Donald has nailed his colours to the mast. He has lost so much face and credibility he has little left to give. Our problem is I cant imagine any decent player wanting to come ( assuming we have any dosh at all ) given the turmoil that is plain for all to see
Did he not say if a bid came in that was in the best interests of the club he would sell BUT would like to stay on and run the club if it were possible? A complete contradiction? Quite pleased with the supporter's clubs statement, hopefully Donald gets out of our club as soon as.
