it's not made up .. if i was going to lie id have come up with something a bit more exciting involving action, intrigue and sex

dev i hear ya but ill ask you this do you know what its like being six years old faced with soldiers rooting through the car you were in and your shopping , toys etc. it leaves a mark. i didnt blame or hate the actual soldier that did it i hated the army because as i got older i reckoned he was just carrying out orders

 

He wasn't acting under any orders that I ever heard or read, he was an arsehole or he was probably just acting up or pissed off being abused all day.

 

Personal experience leads me to believe that i happened to run into quite a few off the asshole soldiers growing up in Armagh! What are the chances???!!

Can understand the pissed off from being abused though - i did give as good as i got in fairness. Never really made it easy for myself by being a mouthy little **** to them

I should have learnt that if i didnt want to be questioned for an hour just play along with theuiir questionning rather than refuse to acknowledge the men with the big guns!!!!

 

The chances are pretty good, some Units were notorious for having a hard core of men who would push the boundaries of what was acceptable Anp. In my experience (again, sorry) the locals were very courteous and were happy to go about their daily lives with the minimum of fuss, there was no friction that I saw, then again I was in the countryside so my views may be through rose tinted specs. Hash sees it from his viewpoint as do you, as I said yesterday, it's an unwinnable argument as we are all coming at this from differing perspectives.
