I can only remember him playing there once, but I'm not entirely sure.

He did and he was pretty good there. However there is a big difference playing in that position for Portsmouth and playing there for Liverpool, the pressure just for starters as well as expectations. Would however like to see him play there at some point just to see if it is possible. I would hate though to be forced to have to use Kelly at right back for the foreseeable future because I would love to see him be the back-up to Skrtel & Agger(Carraghers days there are nearly up, sadly!).

    here's my thoughts.

    1. johnson only conceeds goals when he's on the back stick. he is terrible at getting under the ball for headers and form set peices etc he will let guys get a run.

    2. Kelly is positionally suspect as he has a tendancy to rush out towards an opponent rather than holding position a bit. he's too eager sometimes in other words.

    3. jonhson is a right back, kelly is a CB their relative skills o nthe ball show this clearly.

    4. johnson has got fitter over the past whielbut looked tired and worn out v bolton. I think he was due a rest. When he plays with energy he's quite good really.

    5. I wish kelly would hurry the f up over throws. he annoys me how long he takes to get it going.

    6. i wish jonhson would stop the back passing and having his first touch set to go backwards half the time.

Overall at this point johnson is my no 1 for sure and kelly is adequete back up and hopefully will move infield shortly.

I'd be in favout of giving it a try, I think Kelly is more than capable at RB and will only improve with time on the pitch. I also think that Johnson would do a better job at RW than Dirk or Henderson. Would the Brighton game be a good opportunity to try it out?

Equal in defence, Johnson is better in attack

Kelly makes a brilliant backup though <ok>

and Johnson can play left with Kelly on the right if Enrique gets injured or needs a rest.

    We're sorted at fullback

Both are good players, and both are different players....

Therefore we have options.......The most important thing is to give them both games and keep them both happy

Kelly for me but not long term, he's too big to be getting up and down the wing. Future Center Back.
