to pull that off we would have to put in some money- Taarabt is far more valuable than AJ- that would be a great swop. Agreed with Captain though- it is unlikely to happen, he will want to move somewhere big if he leaves
'Three ha'pence a foot it'll cost yer, And as fer me,' Sam said, 'don't fret. The sky's took a turn since this morning; I think it'll brighten up yet.' I think David Moyes said I'll take ã10m and not a penny less. We fell for it!
Cravin Not absolutely certain, but Wigan were the first to bid before we bought AJ, I think about 7mill, Bolton 8m,the stumbling block i believe was his medical condition which caused each offer to be aborted
Apparently Danny Sturridge is willing to leave Chelsea if he's not getting first team football and with them after investing so much money in Torres I see that happening. I think he'd be a great signing if we could get him.
Agree Fulhamireland, he would be a cracking signing for us. Though he may be looking to go somewhere a bit bigger (tottenham for example) and I don't what his wage demands would be like. I imagine chelsea would price him at around ã10m so if we sold AJ then raised a bit from elsewhere then you never know. He is the type of player we're looking for and we could be the type of club he's looking for. He would be a far better signing than defoe in my opinion.
