Aside from cost and wages i think the main reason Newcastle surely aren't in for him is because the places we need to strengthen are defensive cover (full-backs and central). Our wingers are good (Ben Arfa, Gutierrez and hopefully Marveaux if he can stay fit) and back-up is decent if not spectacular (Obertan, Ferguson, Sameobi) so I'd be a bit miffed if we blew our wad on a position which i don't think is a priority for us. For that money i think Debuchy would be a better signing for us. Like i say though, very good signing for you guys as its a position you perhaps need to strengthen.
The Toon genuinely don't need him, and that's quite a compliment to the team they've put together. Johnson & the right striker, and we can get close to the Toon, and the top 6. Olsson on top and it's pokey bum **** time. Guidietti as well and it's pokey bum **** with a gimp mask in public time.
Ha Ha, IF Liverpool get Johnson then we have a chance with Dempsey. IMO He's never going to play for Fulham again by all accounts and if Liverpool don't go in for him and there's only a couple of days of the transfer window left, and he has to get out of there. Then you never know.
Well tash I see McClean and Johnson lining the flanks if both are fit them & Sessegnon will be the first names on the team sheet. Cattermole the same and the other 2 spots to pick from Larsson, Gardner & Colback. Just my opinion.
Let's sign him before he's in the starting 11 for the weekend. This could all end in glorius failure yet.
