The problem is that, fantastic player that he is, Ali Faurlin is hardly a prolific goalscorer. Granero may be a better bet but he was inconsistent for Real Madrid. As you say, Adel might be the answer, so long as the rest of the team cover for him defensively.

    Wasn't a serious suggestion Goldie, though I guess it's is a possibility.

It will be a serious suggestion if we lose any more strikers, SB!

Gutted for him, Palace are my second team and have liked him since watching them go up. He's never had the luck his talent deserves.

This is a real shame, he's been decent in all the games he's featured for us so far.
In the least tasteless way possible, and this is me simply looking for some vague positives, perhaps AJ's injury will go some way to knitting together the squad in a show of solidarity for their comrade? I wonder if we'll end up gelling quicker as a result.

Agree 100%. Couldn't understand it at the time. He was our top scorer last season

Park is worse than useless as an attacking wide player - every promising attacking move he gets involved in disintegrates as he either loses the ball, or plays a safe short ball back, losing the momentum. He continually goes inside, he cannot get round a player, I don't remember him producing one decent cross or scoring a goal in all the years I've seen him play. He is ok in a harrying midfield role, but we have better there in Granero, Ale, and Diakite. Same comments apply now for SWP unfortunately - he is no longer good enough as an attacking wide player.

We'll have to agree to disagree on this one Jock, below a little reminder of what he is capable of

JSP got 19 goals in 134 apps for Man U. Not bad for a player who is very good defensively.

Your plan seems to be to just put all the attacking players into the team and hope it works out. It wont work out, especially against the bigger teams.

How anyone can criticise Park is beyond me. Excellent on Saturday- the missed header was his only mistake in the 90 minutes. Retained possession very well, tackled well and ran his socks off. He's not going to score many but that's not his role.

Only had time for the first bit Silvio - he looks like he's 16 and learning how to hug and kiss!

Mackie plays up front. Hoilett can. Taarabt can play second striker.

i reckon we will have to look at the free market..... i was having a look and can see Ivan klasnic doing a short term job for us if only its a one year contact. He scored 11 times last season in a very poor Bolton side.

Cant sign him until January but I think we should go for a long term prospect, not another ageing injury prone 30 something.
