I have a PhD, an MBA and an MA Marketing. My specialism lay in the cultural effects upon strategic decision making and processes. I never was an accountant but it's not a mystery to me. In the same way I am not a lawyer but I do understand contract law far more than employment law. As for UEFA then as I suggested they are not accountants and therefore have an understanding of what they are trying to achieve and an outline of how these regs work - that's why they are employing PriceWaterhouse and Deloitte to undertake various aspects of the process. At this point its the blind leading the blind.
Back on the specific issue that you refer to (yet again, lol) I was quite simply wrong donga, nothing more complicated than that. I am not a bean counter, nor a lawyer, but I have a decent working knowledge of both fields in specific areas, which is why you maybe perceive that I use some of the terminology with confidence. As for FFP, I have actually bothered myself to read the regulations, plus various interpretations of how they will impact and how they could be potentially got around. I piped up about the 'stadium debt' as to me it was obvious at the time that it didn't stack up (hardly Poirot material tbf) and it's therefore a tad rich of Henry to take a side swipe at the likes of City etc, when I'm certain his bat has had a slight kink .....in anticipation of the forthcoming FFP agenda. The fact that you're now excused from the current initial investigation into the accounts of 70+ clubs, has given Henry an opportunity to have a pop with impunity. As for Everton, I understand we were vehemently against FFP on a national and European level, as we haven't had the benefit of any form of financial doping at all! and now face the prospect of never being able to artificially close the gap on the oil clubs. If we're to ever compete again on a level playing field, it'll have to be by growing organically, which whilst it's the right way to do it, could take a bloody long time and therefore put off potential 'trophy' investors. We've missed the boat - big time. However, if we did do cop for a sugar daddy and engage in our own 'stadium debt' type shenanigans then you can remind me of my moral stance with pleasure
