Official sources from the KKK have announced the imminent retirement of John 'iron my hood bitch' Terry (wink wink HIAG), from the England team.

It seems that John 'iron my hood bitch' Terry has thrown his toys out of the pram at the FA for charging him and calling him in for a quiet word about bad racist people.

He fails to see how he can work with the FA and represent them, if they do not trust him.

Oh I don't know JT, why don't you ask Wayne Bridge how he managed to work with you and fight for the same cause, whilst you was shagging his missus behind his back <hypocritesmiley>

I will miss his 'punch me' face in the Umbro adverts I suppose.
 
He obviously has a strong idea of how the FA enquiry will go. In which case, he's decided to jump, rather than be pushed.
 
everything about this retirement is cretinous, eg, Just before he gets found out at his fa "trial" and just at the right time for all the papers to pick it up for the morning.

I'm not gonna feel sorry that the "fa has made his position untenable". Actually John, what made your position untenable was your racism.

In HIAG's nickname for Terry, I love the fact that apparently the Klan are all about neatness. Never seen with a crumpled hood, that's beyond the pale.

The lady (Sally something) on bbc breakfast wasn't particularly towing that line this morning. She didn't come out and say anything that would get her in trouble but there were a couple of little remarks about the timing and how cynical it was. Refreshing.
 
I'm not supporting Terry but I do not agree with someone being "tried" twice for the same offense. Given that there was a police prosecution which failed I think the FA should have left it there.

He's a total twat though, as was shown again by his reaction to Walters not being happy about being assaulted by Luiz. I'm glad he's not going to play for England again, even if he was allowed to retire rather than be effectively sacked.

He racially abused somebody at his place of work and it was caught on camera.
He may have escaped legal sanctions, but that shouldn't stop those in charge of his profession taking action against him.
I believe that there is a clause in some FA rulebook that states that he can't be done for the exact reason that you've stated, though.

Yes - you see, I would have preferred to see him dealt with by the FA in the first place - had I racially abused someone at work I would have expected to be sacked rather than taken to court - difficult though as it was on TV - still I am not happy with double jeopardy.

I believe that it has to be viewed along the lines of the difference between a criminal case, and a civil case. Both are certainly permissible in law. Just because one case failed, does not rule out the possibility of the other taking place.
 
i couldn't be more happy with double jeopardy. The only way it could be better is if he was found guilty twice.
(only for JT btw)
