Swamp/Siam,
I don't think anyone has said he's guilty but,,,,, the implication is there which sometimes is worse because it then becomes a hot topic. Plus it appears JT isn't the most popular individual which doesn't ( rightly or wrongly) help him in the media.
The FA are not charging him and have previously stated he will not be banned. Have they done this because the CPS have charged him? Or do they believe he has no case to answer?
If they drop him from the squad, citing the racism case, would he then be able to sue the FA for loss of earnings if the case is subsequently thrown out?
Innocent until proven guilty as you say and that is the law of the land, unfortunately the media appears more intent on creating a picture of any crime based on their view at any given time. Look at the landlord in the recent Joanne Yeats murder case. The tabloids had already convicted him and then had to pay him a fat wedge afterwards.

he's been stripped of england captaincy by the FA, capello not consulted...

The right decision irrespective of whether or not he is guilty or not. The captain as a leader must be beyond reproach, the fact he is in his current situation means his actions have been called into question. One of the pitfalls of a high profile life style, everything is magnified 1000 times based on all sorts of expectations. Isn't it lovely just being a normal Joe :)
