nice analogy It just annoys me when situations like this hang a guy that hasn't even been through a trial yet, yes hes over the hill and England need a clean start with its players coming through. This kind of decision shouldn't be made by the suits, it should have been discussed by Fab and JT, im sure that the first JT incident was sorted by Fab, although its left Rio not wanting it this time, which is kind of disrespectful in itself.
It's a tough one this. On one hand, there is the argument that he is guilty until proven innocent and I do agree with that notion, but then there are those who would argue that, had it been an ordinary employee, they would have been suspended until the trial. It's one where it would have been tough to keep everyone happy. As for the next captain, Gerrard is the obvious choice. If they were to look longer term, then I think Joe Hart would be a good shout but given there will be a new manager in soon who will probably want a new captain, the best short term choice would be Gerrard.
i dont like keepers as captain, they have to be that loud anyway and cant affect when in the other half.
