Agreed(though the top 4 is a stretch and a half), one more to add, debt would have been manageable and paid off by now.
I don't think losing PDC is the worse thing that could have happened. Managers come and go as we well know. It's that his warning wasn't heeded, not heeded after every managers warnings since. Maggie backing the players opened up the doors for them to run a mock, and it's spread like a disease passing from player to player as they come and go imo.
His organisational skills do not show up on stats - yes he's not a top defender now and stats will show that.
Don't show up on the pitch either to be fair. Same as Cattermole, lots of pointing and gesturing and forgetting to do his own job.
Agree now but he has brought numerous positive benefits to the club since he joined but now it's time for him to move on as a player. How about Stefan Schwartz for manager - unknown but worth a punt with his Sunderland experiences imo
Already have - organisational skills But this is a dead duck argument you disagree with me - end of for me
I don't fancy it, I'd take someone like Schwartz as a number two for the nostalgic feel good factor but as a manager we need a tough nut to whip them into shape not a tentative new starter.
We're in the relegation zone of the championship and folk are on taking punts. This board is bat **** crazy
well said and he could pick out the ****s that were there for the pay day easily so laid into them, agree with you
My choice too, I wanted him when we got Grayson and we need someone like him even more now. He's in exile abroad managing some ****e club so I think he'd be interested.
He's managing OH Leuven. Leuven is a pretty city, famous for its breweries, in a country with the best beer and the best chips in the world. It'd be great if he came here, but if I was him I'd be as happy as a pig in **** in Leuven.
Still a ****e league though, I'm sure he's enjoying the beer but any manager with ambition won't want to spend too long with a second division Belgian side.
This is probably true, but I reckon you could carve out a satisfying management career in a nice environment somewhere like that. Concentrate on the football and forget all about the circus that goes on around English football. I went to a Belgian league game a couple of years ago; the standard was quite good and it was an entertaining game. I don't really have a point here, btw. I'm just saying it must be a nice place to work.
No doubt it'd be a hell of a lot better than the majority of jobs in life, managing a half decent side in a lovely area away from all the pressure. I think Pearson will feel like he wants to get back to England and prove himself though.
Not just in the relegation zone. We’re bottom!!!! Win tomorrow and we’re out of the relegation zone though. Cos winning’s easy you know
