Apparently Sky also caught McNally crying at the end - nothing wrong with that as I was so proud of the team that I was, should we say, misty eyed - but if he was it does show how much the Club now means to him.

Poor old DM I'd heard he'd lost a family member but didn't realize it was his dad.
Maybe that explains why he was so public over CH last week, his head was probably all over the place !

I read somewhere that it was on Saturday, not last week.

In any event (and I don't mean this personally) I wish people wouldn't subscribe to the media attempts at stirring the idea that DM "went public about wanting to replace Hughton" or words to that effect.

(1) he didn't
(2) he actually said that the club/directors would be negligent not to have a list of alternatives/contingency plan if the incumbent manager were to leave for any reason (which, while an unfortunate choice of words given the inevitable interpretation, is actually simply true)
(3) it was one line in a long interview which was generally supportive of the team, rather than "piling on the pressure" which seems to have been the media's deliberate shoe-horning

The only ones piling the pressure on were the media. And those twats at MotD who don't bother to watch the match in full
