Well if you are bored don't reply! All I am saying is that we have no option but to use loanees.

loanees should be the last resort and last season some were good and some were bad moves. today we dont need to go into the loan market as we should be able to get perminant signings and not pay vast sums to other clubs for the privilage of using their players. use the loan market as an emergency only...we are premiership now and should be able to have our own players.....

But that means you don't want Caulker back as there is no way spurs will sell him. It's fine saying to buy players but we don't have the funds to get them all in without loans.

if we cant buy caulker then we get another caulker who might be better.....why do you want to give another club money now. when we were lower league we would give a nominal sum like £200.000 for gomez i remember,... that was expensive for us then and even though he said he liked it with us he still opted to join wigan.....The loan market can get a club out of trouble but as a premiership club now it will cost us an arm and a leg and like i say should only be used by us now in an emergency...fans assume there are no players out there like caulker or siggs but there are...

Not a bad video, but I don't think he's a Borini (thank you Vetch), I would prefer us to buy our striker, rather than the loan system, Dai is on the money in this regard, and we can do it if we clear out some of the deadwood, like Lita and Moore! Aswan I didn't miss that either, you tart!......<laugh>......... Anyway if we don't want to take risks with money, Emnes is a safe bet, good strike record this season, knows our system, and I hear we might be in for him, think his contract is up too............. <cheers>

On 4 July 2008, Emnes signed a four-year contract with Middlesbrough for a transfer fee £3.2 million!!! So he will be out of contract in July, hope we take advantage of this, as I rate him well, come on Rodgers get in there, you know it makes sense!.............

The reason why is simple, if as reports confirm is true we have just blown half the transfer budget on siggy, we need other players and we cannot afford to pay for all of them. We will be in for players on loan in the summer I guarantee you.

Of course we will, but only after BR has bought in. 2/3 more signings to come, I suspect. We arent going to blow £7 mill on every player ... get real!

You don't build a season/team around loans, you build your squad and then cherry pick the loans you want. No team is going to allow a loan this early. The loan market kicks in around mid July when teams have an idea who they have. Our hands are tied with Caulker until Spurs have finalised their transfer dealings. BR will be looking elsewhere for a permanent replacement and others as we speak.

Just wait and see Valley. Watch this space!

Swimaway where have I said that we are going to spend £7m on every player ? Don't put words into my mouth that I haven't said <doh> Brendan has said we need 5-6 players for next season, now if we have just spent that amount on one player we have just spent probably half the budget.

So we have about £7m-£8m to bring in the rest, I just can't see how we going to bring that many in on the remaining budget, so that means probably 3 loan signings for next season with the possibility of a much smaller spend in January.

we dont know about siggs yet as its not confirmed. i cant see jinks paying £7 million for him in a month of sundays. he might have got him for £5 mill with add ons or 7 million euros. We dont need to pay spurs another £2million + for caulker for a loan, Why throw money away when we have plenty of time to buy our own player.....I would not want caulker or siggs back if it was just a loan deal as its bad business now we have our own money to get our own players and not line the pockets with millions for other clubs and the players still wont be ours, the way some talk you would think there are no players out there like caulker or siggs......

Guedetti would be a top signing for you guys, I was hoping Norwich may go in for him but was not sure if he would be obtainable. My friend who is a Feyenoord fan raves about him and says he looks like a top talent with a very good goal scoring record and a few assists this season. If you decide you don't fancy him send him Norwich's way ;)

I think you can only build a team with signings, not loans (remember Cardiff recently?). That said, as new boys it's almost certainly a mechanism that Rodgers will look to next season, but after he's got some permanent deals done imo.

so you agree you X£$%^&... 2/3 new signings and the rest would be loans when all the buying is done. Valley, you are really argumentative. Take a chill pill and get off your new found high horse.

Its a discussion I am not on any high horse as you call it, but you are putting words into my mouth I haven't said and I pointing that out to you. And yes we will buy maybe 2-3 players with the rest coming as loans, I saw yesterday on Skynews that Caulker wants to come back to us, we can't buy him so a loan is the only option if spurs allows.
