Most of it comes from the USA rather than here sadly. Just look to the likes of HBO, Showtime and AMC for some gems: The Wire, Deadwood, Breaking Bad, Battlestar Galactica, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Carnivale, Dexter, The Walking Dead. All class.

Music's in rude health too, some really inventive and original bands out there, but like Tiotesleftfoot says sadly they get nowhere near the charts nowadays. The charts are a complete joke and have been for a long time.

I was about to say anything by HBO is usually a great shout...

Closer to home, Ricky Gervais is bringing out a new show and Misfits on E4 is class!
 
Sky 1 are bringing a few good shows. "Project dawn" was good, as is the new show "Spy" which is excellent. "Terra Nova" was a let down tho, dont think Sky made that though. Dont forget Entourage from the HBO, great show!

I thought that too.. After I watched it I couldnt even remember what had happened, nothing eventful, plus I hope they find that girl soon they've dragged it on too ****ing long!!

As for **** T.V I'm actually starting to think that its just a way to dumb people down, so their easier to control and market more **** shows too. Who thinks of this stuff, dont even get me started on radio 1 Chris Moyles is just a **** who loves the sound of his own voice!

Yeah, you were right, Terra Nova was produced by Fox in the U.S.

If you like Entourage on HBO, might be worth checking out How to Make It In America (also on HBO - made by the same people), sorta the NYC version of it, a little less bad-ass, and moreso about 2 guys trying to hustle their way into the fashion industry, but it has a lot of the same qualities.
