I'm a lazy football fan who doesn't watch many lower league games, so can't comment on their philosophies, but on paper if Barton could stop punching people or kids for 5 seconds, I would consider him. He does need more experience, though. Lee Bowyer is doing really well at Charlton, and I think again he could do with more time before he is ready for a premier league job, but I think he's closer currently. My main reservation about taking on either would be the worry of taking on people who have only been successful at one club, and might not have had enough seasons to experience the hell season (like Poch is currently enjoying). Ideally they would go to another club first and prove they aren't tied to one club like Howe or Dyche.
