Whatever the reason......WHATEVER.....he was our captain, it was the most important game of most of his colleagues careers and for the club in recent years, and his behaviour was simply unforgivable.
Chill out peeps, we've stayed up. Let the dust settle and Hughes will make whatever decision he feels is best.

The knee into Aguero after the red card, must surely have been an act bringing our club into disrepute. Question is whether that's punishable by an internal fine or termination of contract.
Personally, I'm sorry Barton has this side to him, but he's proved to me that he can't control himself, and he'll be a continuing liability particularly when the chips are down and he and the team are under pressure ie we can't rely on him when we need him most

Barton has let everyone at the club down and taken the gloss of an amazing match. Couldn't believe that he kicked out after being sent off. It could have so much different, but thankfully it isn't.
