But the Fans DO have a say. As do most customers of most busineses. It's called a BOYCOTT. And I realise that such actions cause short term damage to the Club, but the real benefits are long term. And while Boycott's are unlikely to work against higher league Teams, where the gate money is only a small fraction of their income, for a Team in League Two, their effect would be felt very quickly.
The conundrum is that supporters, for whom the club is just a pastime, will go anyway. But committed supporters live for the match. Not going may feel proactive but it's difficult not to go. You may hate the regime but still love the club. Some people will go just to get out of the house and couldn't care less about the politics. Staying away while other people see the match isn't that easy imo.
Sorry marra, ...going to have to correct you here.....I am informed by our friends up the road that BOYCOUTT is the correct spelling!
And no doubt the Chaiman of Durham County Cricket Club would spell it in just four letters, starting with T and ending with T And all would be correct.
Happy Christmas Joey Today (Wednesday, November 17th) a trial date was set for December 16th at Wimbeldon Magistrates Court. The Bristol Rovers manager, 38, is accused of assaulting wife Georgia McNeil but he denies the charges.
It is going ahead. It was adjourned because of Covid and problems with a translator ... ... Stendel has been requested to attend court in person.
probably get adjourned, although i'd love his past crimes to catch up with him, he'll string them all out as long as he can and eventually get a slap on the wrist.
You are right there, Smug. I well remember back in the 60s, my watch had stopped and I didn’t realise it. By the time I became aware it was too late to get to the game. It was at home against Brighton and Hove Albion and we won 8-0! I’m still kicking myself about it.
It’s all on record (somewhere) mate. Although my memory could be at fault, it might have been 8-1. But the main point is: WE ACTUALLY SCORED EIGHT GOALS! Of course, B&H Albion weren’t much good in those days.
