According to Sky Sports, our former protege is undergoing fitness tests and a medical at West Ham

SULLIVAN JUNIOR RULES OUT BARTON SIGNING

The son of West Ham co-owner David Sullivan has took to social media to put to bed rumours of who the Hammers' next signing will be.

    Jack Sullivan @jsullivanwhu
We are NOT signing Joey Barton

Must be some truth in there?
Or is or this stuff made up in Bartonland ?
What does Barton bring to a team

    Hype, Hard work and passion

Level headed skill , vision and speed do not come with the package

I believe having looked him the eye a few times that inside he knows he lacks a lot but his front is magnificent

When I said to him at a home game corner where will this one end up
He laughed and when it overshot everyone he turned to me and laughed and said he hadn't a clue what he was doing

I like that and will remember that and from that day I understood that it's just a stage for actors and he has done well to get on it because he is very limited as a footballer IMO

Apparently it was Joey that turned them down. He didn't like the clause in the contract that says "if you don't get in the team for the weekend, or come on as a substitute, you are required to work for two days in the Lewisham branch of Ann Summers.

I can only applaud Mr Sullivan and Mr Gold for rejecting someone with Barton's reputation. Such upstanding stalwarts of propriety are perfectly placed to take the moral high ground. Quite rightly, both pornographer Sullivan and peddler of dildo's Gold, having sealed major sponsorship from a gambling site earlier this year for their team, must have been beyond indignant at being linked with such a man of questionable character.

Fans, on the whole, are unintelligent idiots and the stupidest tend to be the most vocal. Fernandes probably panders too much to the Twitter brigade if anything in his desperation to be liked.

I love a sweeping statement I do. As does everyone else.

In this case the unintelligent idiot hammers fans have done their club a favour by avoiding recruiting a limited player with a distracting public persona and disruptive influence. Cretins.

I did say on the whole. Imagine if Swords had Twitter and Fernandes listened to him.

I reckon he will end up at Watford. He was good for us last season however I have a feeling he might be pricing himself out of a team with his salary expectations.
