The sort of player who if he was at Palace or Swansea he'd probably be awesome. But given he's a wing forward in a Wenger squad he's unfortunately behind Ramsay, Arteta, Flamini, Chambers and Martinez in our team.

Yep, surprised no PL team showed any interest in him.

He hasn't set the world alight abroad. Has anyone closely followed his time there? ie was he playing on the wing or up front?

I honestly thought he had something about him but we're not seeing it yet. In part, as pointed out, because he's not getting the game time. However, doesn't he get used as a winger/wide forward for Costa Rica? Not being argumentative, genuinely don't know with him.

Why player's like this stay on our books without getting any game time I do not understand.... either use him or move him on or loan him.

I imagine it's because we make money on them. Every time we loan them out we get a fee. Jenkinson alone must have paid for his five times over. At least we're not Chelsea, I hear their current figure is 33 players on loan!

Why'd we keep him and get rid of Gnarby?

I'm starting to wonder if he's any good.. Looked good internationally but has flopped for us? He hasn't had much game time either and it's no like there isn't opportunities up front for us. I guess Wenger doesn't rate him at all.

Strange why we've kept hold of him then. There was rumours that clubs were interested but we declined the offers due to them them being too low. But why keep a player you aren't playing but paying his wages? Just cut your losses and move on.

Doesn't the loan market open soon for FL clubs?

He has a squad number as far as I can make out. In fact, unless I'm missing something (which is more than likely) we only have 24 listed players.

Seems he's only really played well at International level which is weird.

Has the talent but not there work ethic perhaps?

Isn't it only players over 21 (who don't meet certain HG criteria) who need to be registered for Prem and CL squads, so players like Bellerin wouldn't need to be registered. Maybe that's it?

He really has a chance to break through, if he's as good as he is Internationally. If Welbeck can get in our first 11, then he should certainly be able to!

Could also explain why you haven't bought another striker?

Rumours were that he as available for transfer but bids fell short of our asking price. He might get some game time now.

Thing is we're not likely to get much for him anyway, I'd say about £5m-£10m tops given his lack of game time for us. And it's not as if we're strapped for cash!

Assuming we don't want him at the club anymore, surely it'd just be easier to cut him loose and sell him to whoever gave the highest bid, even if they didn't meet our expected valuation of him?
