So according to the BristolPost we signed Williams with an existing injury and that injury might keep him out for 12 weeks.

I hope this is not a snapshot of things to come from the new set up, not a great start.

In hindsight, maybe it was a case of missing out on him for 2nd time whilst injured.

My problem is that our midfield needs the biggest amount of attention, it has been appalling for far too long.

I was thinking about SAF buying Van Nistelrooy when he was recovering from an ACL injury. A gamble but it paid off.

There are bound to be add on's of course, but they won't come into play for ages given the time he may be out for.

This is what Dean Holden said regarding Joe Williams injury. He may only be out for 2 -3 more weeks with the first game next week.

Any of those injuries serious - any of them likely to be out for a while?
Baker is the most serious one of the two; he's going to be out for a while now. We’re still waiting on another scan result to get exact clarity on that. He won’t be available any time soon unfortunately.

Joe and Walshy will miss the first game of the season and we’ll see how we go with that.
