I sympathise with him.

As a goalkeeper, even one who trains every day, trying to pick out a wide player as he has to is really tough. I’d rather he tried and failed with that than aimless punts to Wells. It looks **** when it doesn’t work but we played short disastrously earlier in the season and we can’t play long so it’s the least bad option.

For the first goal... Scowen called for the ball loudly. He then turned and list the ball. Scowens fault and to his credit he immediately put his had up and apologized to the defence..

I was far away from the later spill...so cannot comment on that one

McClaren is too slow to change things that aren't working. The Lumley kick to Furlong on the right touchline, which has worked well in other games, didn't come off at all today because their left back was very good aerially. We persisted with it throughout the first half, though.

I did notice from R that Joe pointed at himself and seemed to apologise to Josh. Sadly t

Personally thought DF had a very poor game today.

Not sure any of them had a good game at all
Cannot think of a MOM.
Not even sure I can name anyone who was less bad than anyone else...

Okay. Hall...he had the sense not to come on

His throwing is hesitant and poor, he looks nervous on the back pass and his dead ball kicks are generally hopeful rather than considered - what’s unfair about that.

I would have said that his dead-ball kicks are pretty accurate. They're mostly intended to hit the intersection of the side-line and the half-way line where Furlong in particular has won a lot of headers in previous games. His kicks were equally as accurate yesterday, but we just didn't win any of the headers.

For me mom was Jude, just pipped sparky for me, Jude’s bum wiggling in front of the Preston fans at half time, the highlight

The rat had two players on him and no out apart from back to Lumley

It was a cock up and set the tone for the match
It handed them belief and they took it
