It's no bad thing if they do use him as a left-winger, unlike some I think Dawsons still ok for a couple more seasons with the right players around him.
Performance has nothing to do with it. West Ham traditionally play an attractive passing game. They play usually, with Carlton Cole and or Demba Ba up front.
So Dudgeon is tied up, Danns looks like he's heading our way, and we have a reasonable chance of getting all three of Ayala, Hobbs and Mannone. Add a left winger and target man to that and add a couple of utility players and our squad will be brilliant. Keep Dawson, Barmby and Solano, they can all provide back-up and we could do with having some experienced heads in the squad.
As with the Arsenal, no point playing attractive football if you are not getting the results for it! As I have said before, the George Graham style of play is the way to start your game, and once you have a cushion, i.e., 2 goals lead, then you can play attractive, but get the points in the bag first!!!!
Scrub what I said earlier, Pearson has said this afternoon that Dudgeon has been brought in as a left back.
Pearson shaking his head at him for passing the ball straight to a Brizzle player, he's definitely not going to be in next seasons starting XI.
