I would like to say I am sorry to see joe go and thank him for the hours of entertainment he gave us as well as his 100% commitment in every game....... But obviously that would be total bull**** so instead 'thanks for nothing and good riddance'
He got two goals in the last 2/3 games he featured in, his 90k a week is more important to us than the little input he put into the team when he featured
He gives his best then gets a little injury and he's out for weeks so his nosebleed/mouth bleed will keep him out MADE UP HE'S GONE
agree, we see this commitment for the next 18 months or so not 1 game and maybe we will start to question his commitment and attitude whilst here, but he will do it for a couple of games and go back to being how poor we know he is and was or be injured for 6 months. glad he has gone, no way his wages justified what he gave in effort and impact he had on the team. he has gone home, so maybe the Hammers might get that little bit more out of him, but i doubt it.
I loved in his interview when he was saying "I just want to play football" blah blah blah and people before hand saying he's not one to just sit around and earn his money he wants to be out there and playing.... Really? That's why he wouldn't take a wage drop and we are having to pay the difference? If money meant nothing to him and he just wanted to play football, he could have easily taken a cut and moved in the summer.
And also he wasn't that brilliant. He made 2 crosses that an unmarked CB headed in... hardly like he ran past 5 players and made 2 tap ins for team mates. Apart from that I don't remember him doing much
is it similar to the rubbish we got when Carroll left and went their and performed for a couple of games? as you can tell i didn't watch the game as i don't watch utd in any shape or form, painful enough when we play them. so is this just because one of our ex players just had a good game and now suddenly we should be regretting letting them go? good point about the wages, funny that is never mentioned or highlighted more, loves his football my ass!
