Wouldn't surprise me if we went back in for him... Maybe a Britton situation all over again? I'd take him back definitely, he left on good terms and could always do a job, even if it isn't from the starting lineup.
DragonPhil: You are so full of yourself aren't you? you support Swansea mate and you call Liverpool 'has beens'. Any player would want to join us over your little team. How is that even a step down. And what on earth would he be really jealous of, that he's going to miss out on LittleSwans winning their first cup. Let's be realistic, the chances of Liverpool getting back to top4 is much more likely than you lot staying up in another couple of seasons. Man some of the comments in here crack me up, And they call LFC fans delusional
sorry but joe is not for me. if he is not good enough for liverpool he is not good enough for swansea.....
Fair enough if you don't rate Allen or have an issue with him leaving but bringing this article up as a reason to 'cut all ties' is a little strange IMO. For example, if he is asked "Do you regret leaving Swansea" what do you think he is going to say? He's hardly going to say yes because that would imply he regrets joining Liverpool which he clearly isn't going to do. I'm sure he misses Swansea but he made a decision and he has to stand by that.
Clubs will come hunting for Michu(that's if he's not a one season wonder) and....any other decent players you've got and they will obviously want to leave if they've got any ambition, And you will have to be satisfied with rejects from the bigger clubs. In a couple of seasons i could see Joe getting back to you lot for a relegation fight.
This guy is a clear WUM but thought I'd answer the Michu point... If (and that is a big if) a bigger club do come in for him then his head may well be turned. However, I don't think a big CL club will come in until he has done it for a second season. Will he leave for the next level of club that is fighting for CL but can't guarantee it? A team such as Spurs and Everton (I would say us too but I think most would just pick up on that). Can't see these sides being able to afford him either. I know I have said he will go in the summer but in seriousness, I don't see him going anywhere just yet
Im not sure about that. if he carries on scoring goals then he will be a target for the bigger clubs. there is already talk of chico and ash on the radar by clubs including liverpool. That's the way it is with a club like ours, players come in on the cheap and impress and we get offered silly money to good to turn down....we just move on and try to replace these players.......Ill bet you a small wager that ash will be a liverpool player next season. him and Brendan are big mates and its no secret he wants him....
I don't doubt he will be on some radars but I just don't see him moving just yet unless one of the second tier clubs come in with crazy money, can't see one of the English clubs doing that so maybe abroad? Chico and Williams are in their second Premier League too though so are not one-hit-wonders. It wouldn't surprised me if Rodgers wants Williams but it would surprise me if FSG went for it because of his age. Like Williams, Agger and Skrtel are both 28 too so it wouldn't make a great deal of sense in terms of squad building unless one or both of those were to leave (neither would surprise me). I'm certainly not going to bet on it though
oh go on and bet....ash to be fair is playing the best football of his life and has to be worth £8-£10 million of anyone's money....michu £15-£18 million and chico £5-£8 million...
Gerrez , fair play - it makes a hell of a difference to have a Liverpool fan here who is not telling us our place and giving it large. You are to be commended for your attitude.
Chucky did you just sign up, to give me all this attention? I'm honoured and flattered! Now run along little boy.............. please log in to view this image
Beware of newbie's who are more interested in our board than their own....He is a banned member from here dragon like others who try to disguise themselves...get chico or musty to ban him and let him try with another disguise...
Don't know whether you intended to be patronising or not there I saw your 'tongue-in-cheek' prediction came true too
Sounds like a disgruntled QPR supporter to me Dai, who's gone red for the day!........................
