If we put enough resources into the academy the local talent will come through in time. In the meantime £13.5m will buy 2 or 3 players of Allen's standard from La Liga I would think. I'm guessing he'll be back one day anyway.

I sort of expected him to go but not until after the Olympics. I'm still not 100% sure this report is completely true. There is only one source and that's Goal.com.. They've ever been the most reliable for breaking news.

Page- I see that goal.com is the only website calling this deal, but i get the feeling there is something in it, even for them its a pretty wild story to throw out there without nobody else picking up on it and as its Liverpool we are talking about you'd have thought news would be elsewhere !!

As i said, hopefully this story is a load of bollocks, if it isnt then good luck to Joe Allen and Liverpool, i will never forget that Brenden Rodgers shafted us but im sure we will get our dose of Karma with him, for Liverpool,if they sign Joe for that money they have got a Bargin <ok>

Spurs might just gazump BR and get him for less, but i see why you lads are pissed off.

Would he still have been in for Allen if he'd got Siggi?

Is your owner as pissed off with BR as the fans?

I think he would have gone for allen even if he had siggy on board, he needs to impliment his style fast and getting the movement and tigerish midfield firing will set Liverpool up from the start, i have heard it said down our way that there could be a few of our boys targeted if he manges to get success in his first season, the obvious ones are Ash Williams and scott sinclair maybe Dyer as well, one thing is for sure, he likes to buy players he knows!! Borini,siggy,allen..

Im hoping joe will stay,at least for one more season, at least then he gets to see if Brenden will still be in a job, if brenden survives this season then he will do good things IMO.

I hope it all pans out good for both clubs in the long run and that we can all move on.

It does look like we've got him but as with Siggi he might like the bright lights of London instead, only time will tell Norway mate but either way it looks like he wont be a Swan when the season kicks off.

I hope Jenkins knows what he is doing here, because Joe was an under study of Bodde, and it will be some shoes to fill to replace Allen, it's simply not down to money, or the fact that we can go into the Spanish market with Millions, really not happy with this latest news, and the story seems to be gathering momentum, Rodgers is turning out to be a right tramp, watch Sinclair go too!.................<ok>

I hope it's not true, as a welshman i'd like him to stay with you where he's guaranteed a start, and can keep developing into a top player, it'll help the national side out a bit.

Liverpool are trying to get him for less than his release clause, hence the "13.5m" figure being bandied about. I hope Huw breaks old habits and actually stands firm over fees.

As for Sinclair, £5m and they can have him. He had a decent season last time around but we're rapidly approaching "piss or get off the pot" territory over his contract.

So this agreement that Rodgers can't sign our players is bollox then ?

Unsettling our players now seems to be the way to go. I'll remember all this come November

Rodgers, "Once a Jack, always a......."!!

B0ll0cks!!! What a lying b@stard.....

I can see now why I felt the instinct not to wish him well when he left!! That pulling himself out of the reckoning for the Pool job, then dropping us like a stone to take it not more than 2wks later, really didn't feel right with me.....
To make matters worse, he's not content with that, he's unsettled one of our 'prize-jewels' to....

Feck off....

I really hope this is complete b0llocks. He's our best midfielder. There'd better be add-ons on top of the £13.5m if we are selling. Who's got a direct line to Huw? Tell them where to go.

My sentiments exactly, the damage is done ,rodgers' has said enough to get what he wants . I couldn't bring my self to wish him well then and now ! a.:emoticon-0149-no:

If there is a slight bit of truth in these rumours & to be honest it seems to be gathering pace on a good few sites now, so there could be!! I still can't believe we're even getting into this kind of territory over Allen. He's our player, under long term contract & it possibly seems we're getting involved with a deal that we shouldn't be!! It should be, he's not for sale full stop, we don't need to sell him. Go & stick your cash where the sun don't shine!!!

Trouble is, this supposed clause is something Rodgers would be fully aware of, he's done all the 'courting' through the media, turned Joe's head, knowing full well a £15M offer tips the balance & weakens our chance of keeping hold of him. We don't know what Joe wants to do of course, but why have a clause if youir not at least wanting to see what they're offering.....

It doesn't look good of course....

Yet there is some way to go before any deal is sealed with the bid thought to be short of the £15m valuation Swans officials have of the youth-team product - the same figure top clubs are reportedly able to trigger the transfer release clause Allen is known to have in the four-year Liberty Stadium deal he signed last summer. so BR knew about this all along..

One devious cvnt!!

And to think of the criticism Bobby got from Jacks on this site, in comparison with the well wishing Rodgers got after their respective departures, made for some incredible reading.....

Allen has a special place in all Swans fans' hearts, because he really feels one of ours. He's young, Welsh & we've been his only club since the age of 9!! He also kissed the badge when he scored that fantastic goal at Ninian Park!! Well fellow Jacks, Rodgers wants to rip that apart!!!!

Anymore well wishing???......

Feel so let down by Brendan Rodgers right now. It wasn't long ago that he was saying we'll always be close to him and he wouldn't rip our side apart. Does he think by unsettling our players he isn't ripping us apart. I thought alot more of him than that, and wished him well. Now, his true colours are out and I'm glad he went. He's a devious ****er and I really hope he fails miserably at Liverpool.

****ing tosspot!!!!

Can't see how this is true unless Allen has put in a transfer request. That might be but the source is questionable.
