I apologies for my exaggerations, I got a little carried away as I was writing and thus I have toned it down a bit on edit. Believe it or not I have nothing against the player as i person and I actually admire his attitude (funny way of showing it). I literally just wound myself up as i was writing. I still disagree that he was good for the team though. In fact I recall us loosing more games in the 2011-2012 season when he was in the team in comparison to the games in which he wasn't. I feel the Dalglish comeback was more of a showcase of the Dalglish the man himself rather than the apparent "partnership that Spearing developed with Lucas". Perhaps Lucas himself was in more inspired form around this time thus making the midfield stronger and Spearing appear ok.. I stand by my remark that he is more like a squad player for Reading rather than a Liverpool player though; I just don't rate him in terms of ability. Although I'd love for him to come back and actually prove me wrong.
Last season jay was better than lucas when he first arrived at the club. I like jay. Like the passion and heart. Always gave his all. Solid first team regular long term? No, but a useful squad player that wont moan about being a bench warmer. Allen has done little this season to endear himself to the fans. He has been poor recently imo too. Could still develop onto a better player. Hendo, didnt like him....still not convinced but he has improved...needs to continue further before i wont sigh when i see him start. Sahin - did very little during his time at the club to say he is a loss. But equally didnt really see enough of him to form a fair opinion. Spearing v Allen: Personally prefer jay right now. But space for both at the club imo.
This. Spearing has the heart and desire but unfortunately it is not matched with the required ability level. Merge Spearing and Shelvey and we would have our Gerrard replacement
You guys make me cry Maybe I should name change...Borini's Haarschmuckfachgeschäft Doesn't quite flow off the tongue so well
