You are always blaming Huw, you don't appear to know that it's not his decision alone to make! We were not in for him for more than what was offered, it was rejected we move on and so does he. If he really wanted to come back here he would have forced a move, a player has a lot more say in his career than anyone. He didn't want to come so let's move on

Are you joe's agent ? how do you know what huw thinks......most of us are saying he should either accept that we are a premiership team now that requires premiership players or step down and let someone else run the show because he is doing us no favours and haven't done for a few seasons..

It's not going to happen, he will retain about 5% of the club and will continue to be the chairman of the club, he's done a fantastic job in this position and gets most decisions correct. Fickle fans like you have no concept of running the club, so use the benefit of hindsight to slag him off. You don't have the ability to do anything else

Why is it too much? He's just been named in the Euro team of the tournament in front of the loikes of Pogba who is about to cost Utd £100 million.
Jonjo went for £12 million, Joe is leagues ahead of him.

I agree Valley. People seem to think you can still get a Marathon for 25p, and a pack of Opal Fruits for 17p.
Prices go up - we have to move with the times

Yes prices go up, but we really don't need him, I'm thinking that we were only in for him as Stoke were chasing Ki, so a back up in other words. Now that Stoke has gone for Allen himself we don't need him.

If we don't sign him now we will get him for £8 million in January when he refuses to sign for Stoke because his wife wants to come back to this part of Wales.

I don't think it's a case of do we need him Jäger, it's more of a case of there are more urgent positions needing to be filled - ie. Striker .
Would Joe improve our team - yes I think he would.

I really hope we re-sign him, Joe is a leader, he's the sort of player we need in the team. He'll give everything for us on the pitch and off, bring him home! 13M is a snip

I'm of the view that he is the best out there as a direct replacement for Briton, but with a better offensive charector to his game, than Leon.

I'm not asking for much Huw, just bring Joe home and sort the striker out, not a great deal to ask, considering you were bragging the Yanks had a spare £50 million for the squad.......... <cheers>

I dsiagree. Fer and Ki (on last seasons dispalys) are average players, Joe Allen is better than both and will strengthen the team immediately. We cannot keep relying on Leon to turn out his usual top class performances week in week out.

I think the thing that irritates me the most with this is if we had actually offered 10m before the Euros he would have been ours, there is no way we will pay 13m unfortunately. But it seems we are happy to pay 15m for a striker who doesn't score and 15m for a winger who doesn't suit us at all. Still was a nice thought when I thought we might actually do the deal. On to the next target yet again, but we don't seem to mind 2nd best here.

Ki scored more goals in his last 13 Appearances of 2014 - 2015 for us than Allen scored in his entire 90 Appearences at Liverpool .
Nobody was playing well up till Monk was sacked last season ., that is indisputable..
When Curtis came in Ki was a new man and playing well . Same with Guidolin , Ki played well but 2 games in he got his concussion .
Ki played very limited after that , I think a half dozen Appearences and only a few starts .
One of those starts , probably our best game of the season and 2nd last game of the season, was a 4-1 win against West Ham . Ki scored in that game and was MOTM. Just a bit of perspective to your broad brush swipe at Ki valley .
Cork and Siggy are automatic IMO , Cork is better than Allen period IMO .
Allen , to me , would have to platoon with Ki, Fer and Britton for that final spot .
Allen , 1 year left on his contract , played just over 700 minutes last season for Liverpool and most Liverpool fans are offering to drive Allen to Stoke and collect the money .
Allen's inclusion to the Euro team is a bit of a laugh because players from the semi finalists are only on the team .
And if I'm not mistaken ,Bale didn't make the team ... That's a laugh in itself.
I wouldn't mind Allen coming back , but nearly at that price .

It's almost as ludicrous as you saying he'd be competing with Fer and Ki <laugh>

We know you don't rate Joe, but take the blinkers off, he was top class in the Euro's. Re watch the Belgium game, you might understand why so many of us want him back here.
He was immense in getting Wales to the Euro's too.

As for Ki, nobody is disputing the player of 2014-2015, but the player of 2015-2016 was utter $hite!

Jesus roof we are not signing Allen to score goals, he would have been signed to do a totally different job and the only player in our squad who does it as well is Leon. There is no comparing him to those you have mentioned, what he would actually do is the dirty work that would allow siggy cork and others to go forward.

I don't thibk roof doesn't like him, he just wants to put a team together for £2.50 and hope we stay up, rather than build a team that may cost a bit more.

As well as covering the fullbacks when they bomb forward. Signing Joe would prolong Leon's career by another season as he wouldn't have to be used every game and we can then manage his game time.

There's no way this would have been sorted before the Euros, that is a gamble for Liverpool that they can afford to take, a good championship would add 30%-40% on his value. A bad one then they would still get £10m or so.
