Ok so Joe has signed for Stoke, I wish him well,we need to move on and focus on our real needs...A striker.weve sold eder and paloschi for 10 million,and gomis is going on loan,with us saving 60 percent of his wages...so between the 3 of them just under 90 grand a week saved,why was it again we can't afford a top notch striker?
It's a genuine question...We could afford these 3 strikers,but now we're struggling to afford one decent one....why?
I think that one was aimed at stereo pembs , like you say though , we should be able to land a hell of a striker with that wad of money saved

Williams - Toshack Taylor - Curtis Rangel - Martinez Routledge - Swans scouts Dyer - Flynn Trundle - Flynn Britton - Redknapp Tate - can't remember Montero - Swans scouts Vorm - Dutch recommendation Bony is the only one Huw has got right.. and considering he scored 30+ goals in the Eredivisie.. it wasn't a difficult one..................
You are using the benefit of hindsight, and if I remember rightly you were happy with Gomis coming here, the same as a lot of other supporters on here. So tell me why didn't you say two years ago that he was wrong? They don't bring in players to cost us money, and Huw is not Dr Who and travel back in time to sort out players who failed!

Imagine Jenkin's bringing in Bony and then complain like hell about spending that much on him and not being the " Swansea Way " ....then after all the bitching about Bony being to much , the next window he " Presents " Monk with a 7 million £ CB , and a 8 million £ guareentee for another striker . Joe is better than leon today due to Leon's pending retirement from high class football....Joe showed what he can do with wales who play a similar way as we do and a perfect replacement for Leon.......There is no question that we cant offer a better deal but like always Jenkins blew it like he does with most players we are linked too. He has no excuse after 5 years in the premiership that we cant afford players and we have missed out on a number of good players because he is so slow off the mark but quick enough to buy unknowns or the wrong type of player that end up costing us a fortune....I hope the yanks are watching his pathetic attempts in the transfer market and relegate him to the board room and employ someone with a better understanding how to make the club better each and every year....
