Awkward. You claimed other teams have had far superior technical ability throughout their ranks over the years, whatever I argued against it. Comment. Debate. Tell to piss off.
Squad wise in certain seasons. Not overall obviously. You could have politely disagreed or probed my comment if you misunderstood what I was meaning. But you thought you'd take the piss, add pun and be a clever ****. Don't mind this crac from my own, I encourage it, but not from a nobody off another board. Thought you came across a bit rude to be honest so matched your lack of courteous respect accordingly in my own back yard.
Sorry for the delay in replying... I've been to IKEA !! I tried returning Larsson whilst I was there but the offer of a couple of chairs and a bag of meatballs fell JUST below my valuation. Right back to my statement.... What I was trying to say (which others seemed to have picked up upon) is that season after season Man Utd seem to be written off before a ball is kicked due the likes of Man City / Chelsea having better players (on paper) and a greater strength in depth. However, year after year they prove people wrong (including myself) by getting the best out of their players, whether this be by great tactics or by outstanding coaching techniques?!?! The point was.. Now SAFs team has been dismissed, the same players (give or take) don't seem to be performing to their usual standard. Again this year I have had a flutter on Man Utd finishing outside of the Top 4.. I think that I may be on a winner? Just my opinion marra!
And if you just said that in the first place I would have said fair do and we wouldn't be arguing, instead you misunderstood my point and became cheeky off the back of your assumptions.
I am quite patronising at times, my bad. I was hoping we could be mates but I guess that ship has sailed. We could have hung out in your "back yard" together, it sounds like a cool place. Back yard... haha good one
Fair point, nice one. You are right, Fergie cannot take all the credit the coaches (Even McClaren) have been outstanding over the years.
Of course we can be friends. Sorry, I'm a bit of a Rottweiler. Quite territorial and protective on my own turf. At least until the ice is broken. Nowt like an olive branch to do that. So consider it broken fella on my side. Clean slate?
For me I would push the boat out for Zola. I like the football he plays and he is a nice bloke. I am just not keen on Poyet there is more to the Brighton fiasco than we know I am told he wasn't popular with the players and was a dictator. The others I don't know enough about to be honest.
In my defence I did say that in the first place, I asked your pal to explain his "average players", comment which he has and I totally understood his way of thinking. It was you who got all technical
I really hope you lose that bet! I think if there's anything that a neutral can take from Fergie's legacy is that you just can't write off United. If we don't qualify for the CL it's not the end of the world as long as we make some good moves next summer and start to build the next stage of our club. A bit like Sunderland, I don't think it's going to be a season of ambitious objectives rather containing your status and making sure that you have the tools in place to progress next season and so on. In case nobody has noticed, there's also another blindingly good reason to employing Meulensteen and that's his relation with United. Moyes won't have all the say on where our younger players go out on loan, there's a good chance that Fergie would advise that any promising youth being sent out on loan should go to the guidance of Meulensteen and gain experience. I'd like to see Jesse Lingaard join up with a prem team in January he's far too good for the Championship, maybe Zaha too.
Well with Rio consistantly playing like he's just had 12 pints I reckon we're gonna need to keep hold of Evans! Welbeck you can have back, although he's put on a bit of weight recently and goes by the name of Anderson nowadays.
