Have we actually signed him or is this a 'Rozazinhio' style signing?

Im struggling to see how a 17 year old playing at that level could suddenly become the answer to our striker problem

You've not seen him play. I'm Kent based and have seen him on a fair few occasions. He's big, quick, strong and 2 footed. Stands head and shoulders above the other good players at this level.

Is in the first post of one of the JJ Hooper threads, you clearly didn't look very well. It's not concrete I know but it's something, y'know

I would merge this into one of the other threads but they've buggered off into page 2 obscurity so we'll leave it for now.

edit; scratch that, it's back. I'll merge it. <whistle>

Can't believe some of you genuinely think we would have bought this guy for a few million <laugh>. We've just bought Obertan, an ex Man Utd player and a product of the clairfontaine academy, for £3mill. Some people genuinely think we'd pay the same for a 17 year old from the Kent League?

We would have paid a couple of hundred thousand at the VERY most if he's a really good prospect. We're talking about Sevenoaks FC here. According to Wiki, they've only just installed their first ever floodlights and changing rooms at their ground, which is in fact nothing more than a field with a fence around it. Even if we paid £50k for the guy, it would be a massive boost to the club.

Hooper - Destined to be star man at his club, quick, good touch, very athletic, scored in the last game he played, only going to get better with age. Has a great name.
Obertan - Couldn't get a game at his club, bit of a journeyman (this is his 8th club), already peaked at 22, when's the last time he scored? Has a girl's name.

Hooper>Obertan (though don't get me wrong, Obertan's still decent)
