I would like to give both Les and him some time to "build and develop". This season is now a "write off" and should be utilised as "work in progress" for next season. This may lead to some "variable" results and some "frustration" with hopefully a few glimpses of "joy".

I personally will judge the effects of the first 15 odd matches next season and expect to see "progress" of a young, cohesive and dynamic team playing some exciting and attractive football ... which achieves results.

I am very much against "calling for heads" as we have already proved that we must change this mentality of constant manage changes. The "successful" teams are built on a firm foundation and we need to build and develop that structure, culture and mentality.

Thanks for highlighting a very interesting table.

It is worth noting that our long time ago "hero" managers of Gordon Jago, Dave Sextan and Terry Venables have win ratios only in the range of 44%-49%, however they managed for around 150+ matches.

The only managers since then who have stayed for over one hundred matches are Jim Smith, Gerry Francis (twice!), Ian Holloway and ...err....Harry.

The message being - give time and don't expect instant results.
