Pigeons - here is the cat:
At the start of the season, everybody knows that the champion jockey is the person who rides the most winners.

Jim Crowley is trying to ride as many winners as possible to claim that crown.

No argument - good luck to the guy.

Hope Crowley wins it, very under rated jockey, him and kirby are two of the best, and would be great for racing if Crowley does win it, **** De Sousa.

And to be fair, Ryan Moore might not be champion jockey but is still the best in the business by far

Jim Crowley isnt a good jockey by any strectch but looks to have the hunger and agent to give it a good bash. Good for racing and a nice sub plot.

I’ve always thought the title of ‘Champion Jockey’ was against the ‘Trade Descriptions Act’. Never really understood why the chap with the most number of wins between dates x and x was entitled to be called ‘champion’. Surely the best way of decided who was ‘champion’ and therefore the best would be to have a panel of experts (Chaired by me) debate the issue and appoint the title to the best around. Currently, on the level, that is Ryan Moore by a million, zillion miles.

And don’t get me started on the equivalent title for NH saddle monkeys. I say don’t! For 20 years it was awarded to some chap (can’t recall his name) and we were supposed to bow down before he. When in reality, during that time, only one other rider was interested in providing any sort of opposion. Meanwhile, the best 2 riders around steered that same million, zillion miles away from competing for it!
