Its really amazing that you care so much about him. I hated David Norris, thought he was one of the worst players to pull on a town shirt, we paid two million for him and god knows how much in wages so a similar situation to you and Bullard but do you know something? Since he has left I have never once wanted to go onto the pompey board and take the piss and I havent even once considered him. so why do you feel the need to come and check up on JB?
Is it really the old schoolboy idea of saying you hate the ones you really like?
Not taking the piss you understand just curious to the fascination.

I didn't come on your board to talk about Bullard, I haven't done for months, it was Guru that brought him up.

I couldn't care less about him, he's lost his case against us and he's your headache now. <ok>

Getting back to the OP I think this will be a big test for Clegg/Evans this summer if a Premiership club did come in for JET offering big money. Personally I want him to stay as he is now showing the talent that we know he is capable of. We should be building a team around his talent as on his day he is the most exciting player we have at the club. <ok>

I for one don't think we should just be letting players go cheaply to further their career, if the money is too good to turn down thats another story but only a complete ****er would let a player go cheaply to play for another club (Jim Mag and the neil Alexander Fiasco) if a so called bigger club want a player that is under contract they can pay premium prices IMHO.

Agree with what you said Weighty. We are not in need of cash and shouldn't be looking to offload our players who have the most potential, unless it's for stupid money a la Wickham.

OLB - why do you keep turning up here then and only started to once we had JB?
Supers - ALB for me is a brilliant shot stopper but he needs to improve his distribution to ensure he can be number 1. Wouldnt hate having him as first choice next season but at present its definately a case of an area where we could have improvement.
Weighy - Agree 100%. We are not a charity. People moan when we let contracts expire but think its perfectly reasonable to allow under contract players to leave to better their careers. At the end of the day every club had an opportunity to sign JET last summer and we were the ones that done it. If another club wants him then they can pay premiership style money to take him to the premiership. When the new financial regulations have to be taken into consideration we can not afford to do anything other than operate like a hard business.
TBH I cant see the link is true. He has undisputed ability but can quite easily go missing and doing nothing in other games. If he went to the premierleague now I think he would be a failure.

No just curious. Dont have an issue with any fans coming and having a worthwhile input. If you want to contribute here then I have no issues. Just curious as to why you deem to spend your time with us. Or do you visit all clubs

I visit all boards(at least all those with any traffic on them), it tends to be the Leicester and Leeds boards that I post on most regularly(after the City board obviously), but I've posted on all boards at some point.

I don't understand why you'd say that. I think he's the safest pair of hands we've had for a while. Hes prone to the odd error but I think his confidence is improving.

Yep, nearly all of us are sick to death of our groundhog day football club.

You are very wrong about JET and you did make a habit of jumping on every Bullard thread with comedy timing so I think hence the frosty reception <ok>

fairly standard opinion of lee-barrett i would have thought! very good, agile shot-stopper but all other aspects of his game are ropey, thats why i posed the question 'how's he getting on?' - just in case he's improved and you think he could be your number one for the future. personally i feel he's no better or worse than scott loach who some of your fans want you to buy for £1m based on the fact he's an ipswich fan - thats a bit weird. he had a decent reputation as a kid but those days are long gone.
